1. Introduction
As a DRep in the Cardano Blockchain Ecosystem, I recognise that my role carries significant responsibility in representing ADA holders who delegate their voting power to me. This Code of Conduct outlines the ethical principles, transparency standards, and responsibilities that I will adhere to while acting as a DRep.
2. Ethical Guidelines
As a DRep, I commit to the following ethical principles:
Integrity: Act honestly and in good faith when making governance decisions.
Transparency: Provide clear and accessible reasoning for all voting decisions.
Accountability: Accept responsibility for my governance actions and decisions.
Fairness: Ensure that all ADA holders are represented impartially, without bias or favoritism.
Independence: Make governance decisions free from external influence, personal gain, or coercion.
Respect: Engage respectfully with all members of the Cardano community, fostering constructive discussions.
3. Transparency and Public Accountability
To maintain trust and accountability, I commit to:
Maintaining a publicly accessible platform (e.g., website, social media, or governance portal) where ADA holders can review my voting record and rationale.
Responding to inquiries from delegators in a timely and professional manner.
4. Conflict of Interest Policy
I will disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence my governance decisions. This includes but is not limited to:
Financial incentives from external parties.
Business affiliations that may impact governance decisions.
Any relationships that could create undue influence on voting behaviour.
5. Prohibited Activities
To maintain the integrity of the governance process, I will not:
Offer compensation, incentives, or bribes to ADA holders in exchange for delegation.
Misrepresent my voting stance or mislead the Cardano community.
Use my position as a DRep for personal financial gain at the expense of the community.
6. Community Engagement
To ensure an open and inclusive governance process, I will:
Encourage community discussions on governance matters.
Seek feedback from my delegators to better represent their interests.
7. Compensation Disclosure
If I receive compensation in connection with my role as a DRep, I will:
Publicly disclose the amount and source of any compensation received.
Ensure that such compensation does not create undue influence over my voting behavior.
8. Amendments to This Code of Conduct
This document will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary. Any modifications will be communicated to delegators and made publicly available.
9. Acknowledgment and Agreement
By serving as a DRep, I affirm my commitment to uphold this Code of Conduct and abide by the ethical and governance principles set forth herein.
